The April 17 meeting of RGC featured local guitarist and bluesman, Fred Vine, who started playing guitar around 1965. Give it some thought, please.Fred Vine Talks about the Blues – Apr 17, 2017 If you can find a way to help an old fellow musician out, I would charish a generous gift of just SOME of the lessons you could help me with. I get a lot from what you share on your emails. After mortgage and bills we have precious little to live on. My wife and I are living from check to check from SSA.

I think that it’s a lot nicer for her to listen to as apossed to one note bass lines or pounding drums. My wife, Ruby,of 40 years loves to hear me play guitar. I’m now retired, disabled from hauling equipment that’s to heavy and have lots of time on my hands. You probably get stories like mine alot, but here’s the truth of the matter. Your course can definitely help with achieving my goal.

I’ve had some experience with 6-string all these years, but now that I’m retired, I can get after one thing I’ve always wanted to do… To conquer the BLUES GUITAR! Mostly as a classic rock and roll bassist, part-time drummer and keyboards. I’ve had a GREAT career in music for 50 years.

This course and the method that you use to teach in short is awesome. So many, and I probably missed a lot of your tips, the one that was the most important to me, or changed how I play, was the ” don’t start your riffs on the down beat” Wow, what a difference in how your music takes shape! I am certainly not a hot shot player, but to many people, it looks like I am!! 🙂 Thanks Griff, I truly mean that. I only wish I could have had this 50 years ago! Thanks Griff for giving so much and making an old man happy with his guitar again. Subtle little things that change everything, you are truly a great teacher. I am still playing out with my wife whom is a wonderful harmonica player but I had hit a dead end, it was the same old thing over and over and I just couldn’t come up with anything new to revive my spirit, but you put new life into the way I play guitar. You lite up my world on the guitar again. I have played for over 50 years and had all but called it quits when I somehow came across one of your tutorials. You have been my inspiration for the last couple of years.
